Aftermath of Terror Attack. Time to Think Clearly

Selco

Selco

I am Selco and I am from the Balkan region, and as some of you may know it was hell here from 92-95, anyway, for 1 whole year I lived and survived in a city WITHOUT: electricity, fuel, running water, food distribution, without any kind of organized law or government. The city was surrounded for 1 year and it actually was a real SHTF situation. Our allies were our enemies from one day to the next. Today I’m prepared and share my experience on this blog.

Terrorist attack in Paris is all over the news, and it should be, because it is something important, and we all should learn something from it, but do not let yourself be fooled and learn from it.

Freedom of speech is something that we all need to fight for, and this yesterday was grim reminder.

Over there in Paris people got simply attacked for something that should be normal for every man, to express his opinion about every subject. Freely!

The strategy of extremists is clear, divide society, so their idea of holy war can happen. When more people treat muslims bad, more muslims become radical. This strategy works and is why groups like ISIS grow.

Many people try to take advantage of situations like this. Some want you to be more suspicious of muslims, the government can approve new laws to control and monitor what we do more “to protect us”. Companies try to sell some services that they say keep all of us safer.

This is the big picture but some other things are more worrying. In my course and here I try to make people think a lot on local level.

People are killed in the middle of modern city. Those terrorist came out in the middle of the day, in combat gear, moved like professional soldiers (because at least one of them did spend time and probably trained in Iraq), and killed unarmed people without mercy.

They did not look like young amateurs, they looked like trained men, with objectives. They even got away with it in Paris. We do not talk about small village in mountain region somewhere in Turkey. We talk about Paris.

So first thing people should understand to not take anything for granted. You should not be more suspicious of muslims, you should be more suspicious of everyone and not just from today on but also before yesterday.

Stay aware, have a plan. No need to walk down street and look for places that provide cover constantly but know how to get out of situations and think through situations.

Terrorist acts like this bring chaos and uncertainty. All this also happened in country with strict gun control, but this is just something to take note of.

It is not strange at all, people simply feel less safe now, kids could not be safe at school, maybe you question if your workplace is safe, are we still safe to write and draw what we want?

People are afraid.

And when whole bunch of people are afraid they are looking for someone who leads them, who tells them that everything is going to be fine. They look for promises and swift actions.

And of course they are starting to generalize things.

So situations like this are easy to take advantage of for someone to come up with promises about swift actions and better world and to lead masses.

Politicians will do this now and once SHTF and survival is becoming hard local leaders automatically take advantage of smaller “shocking” events too.

In situations like that when many are afraid it is easy to get swallowed by waves of emotions. Now is time to be either sheep or shepherd or even wolf.

Control your emotions. Put them aside and and monitor what all parties now do. The right wing, the moderate people, the fundamentalists. For survival you need to see clearly. Like in military operation put emotions aside and understand situation and interests of everyone involved or you become playball of those who pull strings.

It is not about hating one whole group of people, or one whole religion, because it is simply gonna be manipulation if you allow yourself that. It can make you blind to more “real threats”.

This might sound cruel now but a lot of “big” terror acts are only big because we just hear more about it than suicide bomber who killed 37 people in Yemen yesterday as well.

Things look dark of course.

Real question is who and how do we „allow“ some group of people in the middle of nowhere to start launching attacks on our society where in the name of God and religion it is allowed to behead folks because they have different beliefs and different opinions, or women to be stoned because they said something wrong or got raped.

I simply can not beilive that some kind of organisation could not be bombed back in the stone age at the moment when world realizes they are dangerous for everyone. I hope terrorist attack in Paris is wake up call for many people in power to make things happen at the root of the problem.

I am not strategic genius, but I simply can not believe that it was impossible to defeat them right at the beginning of their growth. It shows what idiots with short term thinking run our countries.

Events like this have huge potential to bring something new, to bring someone who could look like saviour, who could lead angry people who lost their ability to think for themselves, to bring someone who can feed hungry people, give them safety.

People and organisation like those who did killings in Paris should be dealt with much earlier, and in much more „brutal“ way, instead of that, I can not escape feeling that they are being allowed somehow to bring slowly fear and chaos in our lives. They are like actors in the movie those in power direct. They are the bad guys and reason to justify a lot of the corrupt things governments do these days.

Just be careful, do not let your freedom of speech and thought get controlled by anyone. I repeat again, now it is time to see clearly and not ride waves of emotions.

It is responsibility of each and everyone of us, to think for ourself here. Do not let yourself to become one of the guys who are allow to be led by the wrong people, or ideas. No matter what are the names of ideas. They do not have to look like dictator. It could be popular talkshow host or media channel.

We all need to train to form our own opinions. When the time for real survival has come you need to make decisions fast and right decisions. If you never trained that you become victim of circumstances. Helpless and controlled by environment.

Since yesterday world has become more radical because everyone takes a stand now. What are your conclusions about this? Share in comments below.

  1. Selco, thank you for your thoughts on this issue. The world is becoming more turbulent, from both religious chaos and economic chaos. I believe the economic chaos will trump the religious component. The world will become darker for some time, but then the light will shine through.

  2. Sorry, but the “attack” is clearly a staged operation (again shitty one as usual). Completely clear… Now just watch what government will do to “protect” and “ensure” and “prevent” and read carefully the small letters behind those actions, in connection with freedom of speech, privacy, and all kinds of freedoms.

  3. Here is an important argument against “background checks” as a precondition to receiving (or being denied) “government permission” to exercise a right. I’ve been posting this argument on every discussion board I can find, and I hope you will all forward it to your lists and either keep it on hand for when you encounter some doofus advocating background checks, or point me toward said doofus so I can present my argument to him (or her) directly.

First, it is not beyond the pale to consider background checks not only the death of our right to keep and bear arms, it is also the death of our Bill of Rights. I’ll show you why.

Second, do you know the difference between a “right” and a “privilege”? A right is something the citizen may exercise without government knowledge, consent, interference, or oversight. It is beyond the lawful reach of government at any level. A privilege, on the other hand, is something the citizen may do if government permits it, and if government permits it, government may revoke the permission at any time of its choosing, for any reason or no reason, and the citizen has nothing to say about it. (Nothing binding, anyway.) Anyone who tells you different is trying to sell you something.

We have a Constitutional Bill of Rights. It’s not a bill of privileges, and it is not a bill of suggestions. Any claim that the Bill of Rights only restrains the federal government, or only applies to the States if the Supreme Court says so, is a – pardon my vernacular – a crock of crap. This kind of suggestion is borne of subversions introduced into our legal system before the ink was dry on the U.S. Constitution, and it is time we put a stop to them. Some of those subversions were introduced “innocently” (in a sense) because, while our founders were brilliant men, the people around them were used to a feudal structure and not a liberty structure – they didn’t know how to deal with it, and they made mistakes because liberty scared them. But truthfully, many, if not nearly all, were intentional subversions and actual insurrections against our Constitution and Bill of Rights because … well, the concept of citizen sovereignty over government is an abomination to certain very powerful people. It sticks in their craw. It is a direct attack on their core philosophy, and their core philosophy is that they are the rightful masters of humankind, and they intend to govern. They are narcissists, and they cannot abide the fact that ordinary people have the right and the capability to say “Up yours!” and make it stick with force of arms if necessary.

    Background checks:

Do you know of any other right that that requires a citizen to undergo a compelled interrogation under penalty of perjury as a precondition to receiving (or being denied) permission to exercise it? Or a compelled search of his private papers and effects on government databases?
Look at the Bill of rights: Is there any right listed there that requires government permission to exercise?
Look at the U.S. Constitution: Is there any Article, Section, or Clause that authorizes government to issue or deny permission to exercise any of the Rights listed in the Bill of Rights?

    Specifics:

Fourth Amendment: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

The purchase of a firearm is not probable cause of criminal conduct and the purchaser is a person. By what authority does the federal government compel an interrogation under penalty of perjury as a precondition to issuing or denying permission it does not have the authority to issue or deny?

Important: Are you willing to waive your guaranteed right above against warrantless search and seizure in exchange for government permission to exercise a right government has no authority to require?

Fifth Amendment in pertinent part: “No person shall … be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; …”

Compelling an interrogation under penalty of perjury – that’s a threat of criminal sanction – and a search as a precondition to issuing or denying permission to purchase a firearm is not due process and the purchaser is a person.

Are you willing to give up your guaranteed right above to be secure from being deprived of your life, liberty, or property without due process in exchange for government permission to exercise a right government has no authority to require?

Tenth Amendment: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Can you cite any Article, Section, or Clause of the U.S. Constitution authorizing the federal government to even license firearm dealers? How about any authority to violate the Fourth or Fifth Amendment as a precondition to allowing a citizen to exercise a fundamental Constitutionally-guaranteed right? Putting a finer Constitutional point on it, where is the authority delegated to the federal government to even take notice of a private citizen’s purchase of a firearm? Or to oversee, monitor, database, infringe upon the right, or interfere with the purchase or sale in any way?

Second Amendment in pertinent part:* “… (T)he right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” (Period. Full-stop. End of story.)

Subversive Constitutional insurrectionist Michael Bloomberg and a couple of his wealthy cronies like Bill Gates spent close to 10 million dollars suckering the citizens of Washington State into passing a voter initiative requiring that every transfer of a firearm, even a temporary one for purposes of inspection or training at a range, be preconditioned by a background check conducted through a firearm dealer. Does a State have the lawful power to violate the Fourth, Fifth, and Tenth Amendments, and impose an a priori restraint on the Second, just because a bunch of voter said so? (Hint: Read the prohibition clause of the Tenth Amendment.)

No, States are prohibited that authority, and the voting majority doesn’t have the authority to overcome that prohibition. We do not live in a democracy, folks, we live in a Constitutional Republic in which no one, private citizens or government functionaries, have the lawful power to deprive anyone of their fundamental guaranteed rights.**

Bloomberg and his cronies now have their sights set on Nevada, and Arizona, and Maine. Their success in Washington and in those other States will determine whether they destroy our Bill of Rights in the rest of the country or not.

In conclusion, let me point out that background checks have never prevented the criminal misuse of firearms in the history of the planet, and they were never intended to. The backers of the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act of 1993 knew background checks would never accomplish that stated goal, but they knew it would eventually accomplish something very dear to their hearts: Rendering the Fourth, Fifth, Tenth, and ultimately the Second, Amendments irrelevant.

If you have any desire to see America be restored to a nation founded and perpetuated on principles of personal liberty under the rule of law, do not, ever, vote for any law compelling a background check as a precondition to exercising any right, and let’s mount an effort to repeal the unconstitutional Brady handgun Violence Prevention Act of 1993, and do away with government licensing of gun dealers and background checks. Then we can repeal the unconstitutional Gun Control Act of 1968 that made the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (and now Explosives) the most powerful gun control tyrants in the history of the planet.

*I did not quote the preamble to the Second Amendment, which says “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, …” because the founders and the Supreme Court have both made it clear that while the preamble gives the reason for the right, the operative clause I quoted is not in any way limited by the preamble. The people have the right to keep and bear arms. (We also have a right to a Constitutional militia of the people, but that is a different, though closely-related, issue.)

**States do have, under the Police Power, the authority to regulate the use of arms, i.e., where, when, under what safety rules, etc., but the Second Amendment prohibits exercise of any State power to infringe or interfere in any way with the right to keep and bear arms.

Comments and discussion is welcome, and if you know of a website or individual or media outlet who needs this information, feel free to pass it on to them without alteration, and attributed to me as follows:

Nor can you disarm a free people and expect them to remain free.

  4. We do indeed need to practice situational awareness because staged events like this latest one can happen at any time. The sooner we wake up and realize this, the better our chances for survival in an insane world.

    1. “situation awareness”, John that’s it in a nutshell. I have had guns pointed at me with intent to harm and also have had people try to suck me into their game. To me both will get you killed.
      Robin

  5. Two points…..
Anybody who thinks that this event will succeed in finally waking up Europe hasn’t been paying attention, and….
Anybody who thinks this was “staged” as opposed by just one more example of true Islam is a fucking idiot.

  6. Agreed. We have the same idiots in America too. There are those who think Bush made the 911 attacks happen. There are those who think the Moon landing was faked. There are those who really think they would be better off under direct UN rule and the abolishment of national governments.

  7. There was a YouTube video of Obama bowing to the Saudi king. As long as Obama is POTUS, nothing will be done to harm Arabs. Notice the “accidental” drop of weapons to ISIS.

  8. Hello. I’m from France. I’m in shock. Because of the attacks of course but also because of how some people react. As mentioned by john and sabarsage, we have some crappy stuffs on the Internet about a plot or staged attack (most of them comes from the US by the way). The worse, I think, is the people (and you’ll find hell of a bunch of them on the social networks, among foreign journalists and even officials) who say : “yeah it’s horrible, but the journalists/artists should not have drawn theses sketches…”. If I follow this… tomorrow you’ll get killed because you say that female are equal to males. The day after tomorrow they’ll kill you when you explain that earth revolves around the sun. And really this shit is everywhere. This is so pathetic, so sad…

    1. Hello Thierry!
I agree that once when you start to back up, it matter of time when it is gonna come to “shutting down” other more closer freedom.
it should be something that is simply not negotiable.

  9. your constitution will not stop thugs, whether from the hood or govt from stealing or killing,,it’s a fools game,,,more ammo,,not paper may be a better choice,,in the real world..

  10. “It shows what idiots with short term thinking run our countries.” Well said. And those people actually think they are “elite” and deserve to rule over others. They are morons, and need to be removed from the gene-pool.

I also strongly support Donald L. Cline’s statements, and have for years. I was raised around firearms, I understand the respect one must show for them, and also understand that in no time in history when a populace was armed, and capable of using arms to defend themselves, did criminal behavior outstrip that of the law abiding. An armed society has always been a polite society. But now look at New York, Chi-town, Detroit, Los Angeles, even San Francisco, London, Glasgow, and the list goes on and on. Removing gun carry from the law abiding simply makes the criminals job easier. If they succeed in taking your gun rights (right, not a privilege, and ANY weapon in common use by militaries of the day – which includes full auto, and this means up to the .50 cal machine gun – yes, .50 cal machine gun) your freedom of speech and movement and against illegal search and seizure are soon to follow.. It is YOUR RIGHT to own and bear these arms. While I agree, typically that people have no real purpose, especially in self-defense, for the use of grenades or other heavy destruction devices or explosives, the point about arms is very clear, and the government has slowly been degrading and chipping away at a right that is Constitutionally immune to such chipping. It’s time the American people, every American citizen, whether they want to bear arms or not, woke up and supported the right. Because without it, we lose everything else. It all comes down like a house of cards. So we need to start appealing to the Supreme Court to overturn those laws which are obviously an infraction of the Constitutional amendments.

Above all, we really do need be vigilant, be aware of our surroundings, and the people in those surroundings (without profiling for race or religion). It sounds exhausting, but when you become used to it, it becomes as second nature. Always stay armed. No government has the authority to tell you not to be. Even in states that have passed these laws, they are unlawful according to the constitution of the United States. If you live in another country, I suggest you start changing the laws there to support your lawful carry and ownership of a firearm for your family’s and self-defense.

I guarantee that if citizenry were armed in Paris, these assholes would be dead. I would hope anyway. Stay vigilant, stay safe.

    1. Tora I will repeat to you what I wrote to Donald-
your forgetting one thing, your not one of the “people” so you have no constitutional rights!, your a citizen/person/resident/debtor operating in the Democracy not the Republic. Until you and everyone else figures out the difference, the STATE can do what ever they want. Did you not give away your rights when your mother applied for your birth certificate, when you applied for your SS card, when you applied for your driver’s license, when you applied for your passport, ect?
So until you and every other “patriot” figures this out don’t expect anything to change. Did you not know that the united States has been under martial law since the civil war? Did you not know that President Roosevelt in the 1933 Trading with the Enemy Act declared every “citizen” of the U.S. an enemy combatant?
And you expect them to allow enemy combatants to own a gun, that’s laughable. Do some deep researches, figure it out, start acting like a responsible “people” and get control over your birth estate, and collapse all the adhesion contracts you signed up for.
Then start conducting yourself like our Lord and Savior showed us how to. Then the Corporate US will no longer have you in shackles in the world of maritime admiralty law (statutory). There is a maxim in law; the law cannot be higher than he who wrote it. Constitutional (common) law of the land belongs to the people and is above statutory law. So until you figure this out and conduct yourself in Honor in the private (the Republic) you’re acting like a good debtor in the Democracy and you have no Constitutional rights. Anyone who sucks the government tit, takes deductions, exemptions and benefits is a citizen = subject with no authority, subject to statutory law and no access to Constitutional rights that a true sovereign yields. BTW a true sovereign will never claim to be sovereign, they are by their conduct and honor.
Did not God say, my people parish from lack of knowledge?

  11. Bush did it (again), this time in Paris!
    .
    .
    .
Probably not, either time. However, we live in
an age where anything is possible, but nothing is certain.

Somebody did it, though. We might ask, “who does it serve best?”
    Means, motive, & opportunity.

    Did OJ do it?

  12. Thank you Selco for sharing your very reasoned and level headed observation with us. I believe you are correct when you help us to look beyond our reactionary emotions and remain on guard as a sheepdog guarding the flock. I believe many are still asleep due to the type of conversations I share with co-workers and others. Almost none of the people I know seem to be concerned with the worsening condition of our world. Once they do wake up they may let their anger or fear sweep them away into the arms of a false savior or cause. I believe there is safety in numbers of those that share a love for their fellowman and have compassion for them. This type of person spends at least some of their time in selfless service to others. If they are doing these things in a time of peace they are more likely to continue in times of trouble. Thank you for helping us to prepare.

  13. To Selco’s point here, pragmatism dictates that avoiding potential mass casualty target areas for our immediate future would be wise. Avoid malls, state or regional fairs, conventions, airports, train stations, etc.
Many would argue that this is the WRONG thing to do…… Basically allowing the terrorists to set your personal agendas. It would be wrong in NORMAL times, but the current times AIN’T normal…
We are under imminent threat of more radical muslim reprisal, that’s a fact. Hell, they STATED as much! They are promising to import that business model here, and i’m inclined to take them at their word. They have only a guaranteed 2 years left of a benefactor in the White House. I’m THEM? I’m squeezing that lemon for ALL it’s worth.
I never go to overly populated places anyway, simply because the older I get, the more I dislike large crowded places. But, I DO have 2 teen daughters that LOVE going to places that are thriving with action and vibrancy. I balance their activities as reasonably as I can, and try to be reasonable. My biggest fear is NOT ME being caught up in a bad sitation, it is the potential for THEM to get caught up in same….
Both girls are decent shooters, but both are too young to legally CC Carry……
There’s a lot to balance out there, while trying to remain as uninhibitied as possible. Decisions and courses of action will be determined and formulated as this disease progresses…. All that can be done now is to minimize yours and your family’s exposure profile to potential terrorism on our soil, make plans, and be ready to implement those plans and protocols if the worst case happens……

  14. Selco,

You said: ” I can not escape feeling that they are being allowed somehow to bring slowly fear and chaos in our lives. They are like actors in the movie those in power direct. They are the bad guys and reason to justify a lot of the corrupt things governments do these days.”

The attitude, words and actions of those in power and their support Islam world wide demonstrate exactly what you said in the quote above. They are using terrorist attacks to further the goal of world domination. Which one comes out on top remains to be seen.

The lack of resistance to the left or to Islam on the part of “regular people” will be the downfall of western civilization. We are losing!

  15. it is not fucking staged. There was not only one attack, but a wave of attack. Since three weeks, it was one islamist attack per week. Since yesterday, we lost count. Cops shoted in the street. No one said it but we also have a lot of military guys who where bladed like goats in France. People attacked mosques also. The people are overeacting, this is not going to end well.
Cops are everywhere in Paris, wearing bulletproof stuff and automatic rifles, they look a bit like Fergusson but with less means. They are shit scared. I was controlled at a traffic light, I thought he was going to shoot me, yelling : STOP !

There is no conspiracy here, you have a society who is collapsing.

  16. Think about it. Being “staged” doesn’t necessarily mean the government would have had to perform these heinous deeds directly. All they would have needed to do is (despite all the red flags these two must have raised with intelligence organizations around the world) is to see it coming and do nothing to stop it. 😉

  17. At the end of the day it doesnt matter if it was a false flag or not If your caught up in it does it.
False flag bullets kill just as much as real incidents.
    The idea is to learn.
Whether the governments trying to take freedoms or not is irellevent.
The only thing thats relevent is to watch, be aware and keep safe.
According to one captive in the deli, one attacker had blue eyes….
That isnt a muslim country trait, they hace brown eyes…
draw what conclusion you will from that.

  18. @ KJ if a government or governments spend 20 or 30 years supplying the means, and motive, all moving in the same direction, and today happens to be the opportunity, which allows them to gain a tighter grip, one could argue that that is staged and controlled. They don’t care where or when it happens they have lit the fuse and they know sooner or later it will go off.

And they will use it to their advantage.

  19. I suspect that the time has come to begin viewing [but not yet reacting to]
all matters as if the social structure has already collapsed.
For surely the remaining thin shell of civilization
is not the essence of the madness that engulfs us.

What are the pertinent questions for this mad act in these mad times?
    What is important?
I can worry only about where the next potential threats, civil or physical, may be.
    Industrial human society is toast.
    The collapse is imminent.
No grocery, no gasoline, no electricity, no money does not sound like a promising future.
What else are mad governments and insane people going to do to make it even worse?

  20. I’m a little concerned with the idea of using ammo for barter. Seems to me the population of folks that I will trust enough to give an item that could kill me will be very select, thus limiting barter ability.
